Why FAIR and why FRANK?

We wanted to choose a name to represent who we are and what better than one of the most awesome men’s names in the world: FRANK. FRANK is more than a name, it represents our brand’s commitment to openness and transparency. On the other hand, FAIR voices our commitment to make sure a fair portion of profits is shared directly with the communities where your shoes are made; it’s about giving back.  Ultimately, we aim to bridge the gap between you and the makers of your shoes.

  1. What size should I order?
    • Our sneakers are slightly large in size, we recommend ordering a size down if you are in between sizes. You can refer to our Size Guide here, and contact us at myfranks@fairfrank.com if you still are unsure.
  2. What material is the sole made from?
    • The sole is made from thermoplastic rubber, a few of our soles are made from partially recycled material.

Materials

  1. How are your leathers produced?
    • Our leathers are produced only using vegetable-based materials to tan the animal hides to durable leather. This process is cleaner than conventional chrome-based tannery processing of leather.

FAIR FRANK workers’ premium fund

  1. How is the fund distributed to workers at the factory in Ethiopia?
    • 60% of the fund is distributed equally to all the artisans at Hafde, where your shoes are made, on top of their regular salary. We also plan to start allocating the outstanding 40% portion of the fund to chosen development projects for the benefit of the local communities where the artisans live around Hafde by June 2018.

Shipping

  1. How long will shipping take?
    • We offer 1 day delivery to the Netherlands, Belgium and some parts of Germany. Other countries in the EU takes up to 3 days for delivery to arrive. For shoes outside the EU delivery is expected within 7 working days.

Returns & Exchanges

  1. How can I exchange to another size?
    • If your shoes don’t fit like a glove, like they should, and you want to change them for another size we have different options for you depending on your location. If you are in the Netherlands you can go to any DHL parcel shop and use our warehouse’s account number to easily return your shoes free of charge, please get in touch with us to receive the account number to put on the parcel. If you are in other countries in or outside the EU you return the shoes back to us with your chosen parcel service at your own cost. We cover this cost of returning your old size shoes if you are in the Netherlands but not for other countries at the moment due to our tight margins. After it has arrived back in our warehouse and it has been confirmed by us, a store coupon will be given to you for you to order your new size shoes at no extra cost, incl. shipping. Please use the store coupon code upon checkout when ordering your new size. If you want to exchange your shoes please get in touch with us at myfranks@fairfrank.com to get started.
  2. How can I return and get a refund?
    • Due to our tight margins we cannot offer free returns at the moment. If you want to return your shoes and get a refund please send the package in re-sellable and original condition at your own cost to Fair Frank c/o Kolibri Logistiek, Industrie Terrein Tiendweg, Tiendweg 45K, 2931 LC Krimpen a/d Lek, THE NETHERLANDS. After it has arrived back in our warehouse and it has been confirmed by us we will issue you the refund to your chosen payment method. Please note it can take up to 15 days for this to reflect in your bank or card statement.
